This is an introduction to myself (kind of).

Okay. There’s an About page with a bio and a picture and everything else, but this is not an introduction to the blog’s author but to an experiment I will be doing through the month of November.

If you would like to join me in the endeavor, I will post weekly updates and thoughts on the experiment: how it is going, what I explore, and anything that occurs to me to include.

What is this experiment? I’m glad we are on the same page about that (pun intended).

This will be a thought experiment. I suffer (typical term, not a conscious usage, although still true) from Seasonal Depression and Social Anxiety Disorder. (I’m self-diagnosed, but I have all the symptoms. I’ve researched it extensively, though I realize it would be beneficial for multiple reasons to receive true diagnoses.) Together, these things make me especially self-isolating (hello, Social Anxiety and fear of vulnerability) in the months between October and April (October and April being swing months). Yes, that’s half the year. Whoop.

I usually dedicate November to writing, but this year I thought it would be beneficial to have a reflections blog instead. This not only broadens my writing, but it helps me mentally and emotionally.

So. I will include a list of mental activities and exercises that I will be trying out, and you, as my readers and audience, will be encouraged to follow along and to respond with your own experiences or exercises.
