My passion is writing. If I could do it all day, every day, I would. I spent four years of my life earning a Creative Writing degree, and even though I’m not currently working in my field, I don’t regret a moment of it.
This blog is as much for me as it is for you, the reader. Writings without an audience can’t breathe–can’t live. It’s the same idea as the old philosophy question: if a tree falls in the forest but no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? The scientific answer is yes, of course, but the real question asked is this: If someone has something to say, but they say it when no one is around, are they heard? Of course not. Ideas, stories, opinions, etc. need audiences to make a difference, to grow, to become everything they can be.
For years, I wrote without letting anyone see my writing because I was afraid of their opinions and their criticisms. This blog is my way of facing that fear and giving my writing the audience it deserves to help it grow and improve. After all, what is an artist without critics, or a writer without readers?
