In Preparation

Hello there.

It’s been some time since I’ve posted anything. I’ve been lazy, distracted, and busy in turn through these past several months. There were many times when I started a new post only to realize I didn’t know what I wanted to say or that what I was writing wasn’t what I wanted to write or that the story needed more time to breathe or the poem needed a new form.

However, April is national poetry month.

So I am dedicating April to poetry. Just as November is for novels, April is for poems. A challenge that goes around in April is 30 poems in 30 days.

Over the course of this month, I will post a poem a day under “April, 2021” and name them for the day of the month. It will form a collection of sorts, and I hope that you will enjoy or relate to them. Maybe both.

This isn’t a long post because it’s not so much a post as it is just a “head’s up.”
